A reminder that Gatton poultry auction is on Easter Saturday 11-04-09 at the Gatton showgrounds. A catalogue will be available soon & there should be around 300 lots for sale. I will post again with more details when they are available, should be a good day.

Hello from Auctionmad, I have attached the catalogue for the Gatton Poultry Auction you can print it and use it at the auction as well.

If APF is ok with it I am happy to track down Auction information and post them on the forum seems the auctioneers can't be bothered letting people know :-?

It was Really good to catch up with you all and meet the ones I hadn't met , In case you don't know I was the one out the front in The Blue APF Shirt ,The Blue APF cap , and I haven't worked out how I'll get a logo on their yet But the Blue shirts , Making sure we got Plenty af APF advertising out their ;)
Good to See Peacocks Australia and Greenaus their Flying the APF banner Proudly and hopefully we'll see a few new faces soon as lots of people asked me what APF stands for after the auction a_bravo.gif
The Prices were great and it was good to see a lot of you spent a bit of extra time preparing your birds . My favourite Lots Were a Pair of Australorp pullets from the Young lots and a White Leghorn Breeding pair from the Clauss lots .
I was hoping to get a bid on the Australorps but my pocketmoney ran out before the first bid they started at 100 and they ended up Bringing $360 and Deservedly so . That Pullet has the makings of a champion and in the right hands will go on to win some major shows .
The Sussex .... well I've told you all before and you should start listening to me SUSSEX ARE THE BEST [smilie=a_chuckle.gif] [smilie=a_chuckle.gif] The ones that bought the big Money Were Kaylene Flynns from Clifton and they were a Credit to her and very well presented , She was at my place last week and she has a big breeding program for next Year with some of Australias best Sussex Genetic's thrown in to the mix so you better start saving your penny's for Gatton next year if you want some , I spoke with The Gentleman that bought most of her birds after the Auction and he was more than happy with what he paid , and another freind of mine got another of her trio's for $300 (bargain) .
Good to see the Waterfowl and Pheasants Bring good prices and their were some nice birds to be had .
Their were still lot's of Bargains with a Bantam Hardfeather Pair that won at Sydney going to a Young Fella for $30 a_bravo.gif
Well done lad ,he'd been trying all day and ended up with a Very good pair for a great price .
Towards the end some great Bargains were to be had ,so If your just starting out and looking for a Bargain my advice is Stay till the end .
Well I can honestly say , all I came home with was a new Carry box and a sore throat .
Congratulations to the Gatton Poultry Club on a Great Show .
Special Thanks To Bec and Allan for your great work .

and a Very Special thanks to Midge , I don't know if you noticed how much pain he was in but Midge also called The Rodeo at Nanango show last Saturday and one of the Bulls didn't like his Announcing and Decided to Put his horn in his mouth and give him some free Dental work , literaly , Midge ended up with Four Cracked Ribs a very sore mouth and a Bull on top of him , in True Midgey style he refused to leave and finished calling the Rodeo , and Wouldn't even think about not Calling Gatton , Mate you are a Legend .
But Please give those Bulls away and stick to chooks they're heaps safer ;)

Seeya Bunyanuternie .

He did a fantastic job as usual, and is an asset to any Auction. Hope he is on the mend.
