I have heard they work well also but in smaller spaces I mate has one in his garage and swears by it, what price are they?

Pretty reasonable, I think you can pay between $30 & $100 depending on brand etc...

I use the PestContro. Bunnings were struggling to get any stock there a few months ago what with the mouse plague going on, my small local hardware store on the other hand had plenty.

I have seen those and picked it up a couple of time but was not sure how well they worked so next time i am there I will pick it up and buy it this time

My father swears by them, my father in law swears by them and I haven't noticed a problem in the six months since I installed it.

Hmm...think I might have to try one too! We have pesky rats in the hen houses despite the concrete floor! We don't want to bait as we have dogs and cats and don't want to take the risk of them eating a baited one!

One of our Border Collie's catches the rats if they come out of the chook pen :lol:

My husband and sons have also managed to 'get' a few but when I went up their the other day there was one sitting in the feed dish

I may have to invest in those chook operated feeders too but they aren't cheap! Maybe I can ask for one for Christmas :-D

The bucket method has worked well for the mice we had through winter, especially in my husband's workshop. Any live ones he would feed to the cats :oops:

In the end though even they got sick of eating them! [smilie=a_chuckle.gif]

Have a look at Grandpa's Feeders I use 2 and they are excellent iin stopping rats and mice from pooping and weeing in the food
