getting a new drake tomorrow

hi guys.
iam going to pick up a new drake tomorrow, i found another self bronze drake , hopefully a good color breeder ? the funny part is i already have 3 self bronze drakes :lol:

, but he will be a new bloodline hopefully he will throw some good selfs? . but as the color is so rare i had to have him :lol:

, and when i told the wife all she did was roll her eyes :roll:

ill post a picture of him so you guys can have a look and see what you think of him

Will you use him to outcross then linebreed for colour with your original line?

I'm fascinated with the bronze colour. I've never heard of it before reading your posts.
My wife had a breeding programme once upon a time ago with muscovies where she was trying to get an all black colour. She just about had it too but unfortunately we were renting at the time and had to move into a small houseblock and couldnt keep the ducks

hi mate.
hopefully he will throw a good bronze color . i have my old bronze girl i want to try him with she is my best color breeder. and the only 1 of my girls who thows self bronzes . with my old drake i get about 4 self bronzes , hopefully the new bloke will breed me some good ones ? i also have 2 young pure selfs i would like to try him with . hopefully i will breed a future champion or 2

but the bronze color is very rare i only know of 2 breeders with them , 1 has only a drake left and the other has mostly barred , and i hope to breed a few nice drakes to pass on in the future and hopefully see other breeders take them on ? but most people dont know the bronze color and not many people show the breed around here, most people have never seen them before , most mussies are kept here as meat birds , my best girl came from a meat breeder , she just came out in the breeding she was going to be sold as a meat bird , i was very lucky to find her and i also got a pied bronze and a mottled at the same time , so hopefully if i can push the color others will take it on ?
