rnb you are refereing to the poultry standard and that was not the question asked yes there are other colours in dilution form such as blue and fawn [peach] they are dilutions of the Silver colour which for the non exhibitor aka backyarders are colours in their own right. I have seen a few of both dilutions at sales and the odd show and are perhaps more common than you think.

are you suggesting "the silver colour form" and "silver appleyards" to be the same colour form??
we too have been to many a show and auction and seen many silver colour form birds with dilutions.
the name "silver appleyard" is missleading as the silver in the name has nothing to do with the birds colour form..unless your a breeder from USA
breed "Silver Appleyard" colour form equals Appleyard these birds are light phase mallard with mallard restiction gene
breed "Call" colour silver, colour form equals silver then add your dilutions..these birds are mallard dusky light phase harlequin
if the bird doesn't have the base requirement for the colour form "appleyard" e.i light phase with atleast one mallard restricted gene (MR) then its not an appleyard

That has to be the most confusing post I have read here. Why unless your a breeder from USA why not Australia?

Just to add to all this, wild colour mallard + light phase - blue dilution = trout just to explain trout in calls

They breed very well like all other apples they are an easy duck breed to keep and breed
