Hi Winny,

Back to your question? I have paid $200.00 for a pair of Black Orpingtons, would I pay $50.00 for a dozen Buff eggs plus post? Yes if I wanted them.
So have ago and see and if you don't sell them drop the price, its that simple.

Because the post is about what price Winny should sell eggs for. Not whole chooks. Even I'd pay $200 for two Black Orpington chooks if they were good quality and had characteristics that I wanted for a breeding line.

But, at least you put in an answer of what you would be willing to pay for the eggs, so that was really helpful, because I was starting to think this whole post was all about the stupid comment I made and not about Winny's eggs.

And just to be clear...I would pay $50 for a dozen! I just wouldn't pay $120. :-D

That said....If you had chicks for sale I prefer to buy them, because I don't have an incubator. Yet!

Yep if I was in the market for quality buff orpintons then YES I would pay $120 for a dozen fertile eggs if I really wanted them YES I would pay that :-D

I think between $60 - $80 a dozen with shipping included is a fair price but as chukar asked are they show or pet level?

Have a look on FERTILE EGGS "FOR SALE & "WANTED" and see what the median price is, also take look on the actual breeder's website often on the advertisement and perhaps venture to contact actual Orpington breeders and ask for advice, many breeders are always willing to help and share their knowledge with you.
