:-D ok, I have an automated email back from there, which they said means that if Julia wants to respond, she will! :-D

here it is pick out all the mistakes :)
Hello,
I am Philip and I am from Cairns, sorry I can't give the street address due
to it being on the internet.
The reason I am sending this is because of the terrible conditions that
poultry are being sold in, the birds can bring in disease and/or mites/lice
and other pests and nasties, this can kill all of your chickens, or just make
them really sick and develop problems that some just don't know how to
cure...
What I am recommending is for a law that every animal (including poultry)
has to be checked out by a vet and for contact and address from the seller,
as sometimes the seller can disappear as soon as you find a problem. It
should also include every sickness the bird has had (major ones from, say;
two years before and minor from the day of advertisement) including
mites/lice/ticks, etc....
Also, when people not in a farm, but in suburbia want to get chicks, it is an
annual opportunity, however this is destroyed by some sources putting
roosters with some chicks that are girls, and then giving them to pet
stores... The roosters grow up... They start crowing which means the family
has to (usually) kill the bird... I know that you can't stop roosters from
getting into pet shops, but maybe a recommendation should be made for the pet
shops to know the gender of the things they are selling.
It is just weird selling something you don't even know fully about.
Please, do not let those nasty chicken sellers get away with it anymore!

I pray that you will follow this up, and if you can (I know you wanted
address to reply) reply to me by Email.
Thank you,
from:
Philip

What a load of clap trap if you were required to get vet reports on all poultry prior to sale then the price of each bird would $100 plus for mongrels let alone good quality birds. What is wrong with buyers taking a bit of responsibility and checking the birds before they purchase them.

Philip, aka, buffy the sussex's dad just died :( , Philip is still only a young sapling himself who's father has JUST died, and he is only trying to make a difference in the lives of chooks.

I think that we have to learn to walk in another's shoes even if they don't fit.

Have I said something to offend you, I was only trying to help you out?

My dad has survived bowel cancer, has a heart condition and suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/Clinical Depression after Black Saturday, so I sort of know where you are coming from, as my family live day to day wondering what will happened to us if my dad dies...

I applaud you, young Philip, for trying to make a difference a_bravo.gif

You dad would be very proud of you! Your family too should be very proud of you a_bravo.gif
