Allied Animal Health in Sydney sell it in small lots.

NOTE that the Mareks Vaccine covers only the most common form but does help with some resistance to the other forms

AND please be VERY aware that 'small lots' means a non viable vaccine unless you are on site with the chicks at the time it is made up ready to use immediately

Mareks Vaccine has to be made up and used within one hour of mixing otherwise it is no longer viable
ALSO - it has to be given within the first 24hrs after hatching

and DONT believe anyone that says "Oh I send it frozen" = it is a live vaccine and as we all know once a live thing is frozen = it is dead (excluding the Whetter (Cricket) in NZ)

these links should help to understand the Mareks Vaccine better, how it works in regards to the chicks immune system and how to give it
these articles are only a guide but give a better insight to the Disease and the Vaccine

# many are using it once every 2 to 3 months = none of their birds over 24hrs old have been effectively vaccinated meaning if the Mareks Disease if prevalent on their property everyone that buys from them are buying 'dead birds walking'

note also that where there is AIR there is Mareks as it is airborne and can travel for kilometres on the wind

it is of course each persons choice if they vaccinate AND how they do it - but to do it correctly helps a great deal

Can vets give this to chickens 1 dose at a time?

Vets can get the vaccine in but it comes in a set dose amount they cannot purchase a single dose = no one can
they can also administer it for you
they will have a mark up on the vaccine and you have to pay for their service as well = it would be very expensive to do it that way

you can always go to a local commercial hatchery and ask them to show you OR get them to do it for you at a small fee per bird (some only charge $1 or $2 per chick) = they hatch and vaccinate 1,000s of chicks each day so have the vaccine there and are VERY proficient at it – most are good abt doing others chicks – you just need to find one local to you – remember some wont tho, so don’t be offended if they say ‘no’ AND you have to be there when they do the vaccinations each day = that could mean 4am or 6pm hatchery dependant

as you can purchase the vaccine from the supplier it makes sense to get it yourself and administer it yourself IF you don’t have a local hatchery that will do it for you.

Yeah asked my vet that one but the above was also her answer. It comes in 1000 dose lots with a short shelf life. it just wasn't practical for my vet to keep it.
