Bubbles in eye

Help may be needed
One of my sebrights has bubbles in the corner of both eye and her eyes seem to weep a little is this some sort of disease or just dust?

Bubbles in eyes can be a form of stress. You can sometimes see it at shows and auctions and the like.

I know with ducks it is often caused by them bathing in dirty water.

Are there any other symptoms the bird is showing? Runny nose, fluffed up etc

If we look at stress / environment: What is the size of her pen? How many other birds is she kept with? Is she new to your place? What food is she being fed?

If we look at health? How old is she? When was she last wormed?. Is there any blood in her poo? What is her breathing like? Does her breath smell?

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head but I'll check back in later in case you have any more information to add.

I just checked her out and her breathing has a rattle noise to it and yes her breath stinks, no blood in her poo which I am guessing is good? What do you think it could be? I have been reading about crd could it be that?

I wouldn't presume CRD, but it does sound like a respiratory infection of some sort. Generally if they were healthy beforehand they will recover on their own but to help them along they need to be kept somewhere they can have some extra help to build their immunity and recover. Somewhere warm and out of the wind with fresh bedding, food and water and maybe also some vitamins in her water. Possibly the laundry so you can make sure she's not tipping over food and water etc? The good thing about keeping them separated is you can keep an eye on their poo too. If you spot blood in her poo then I suggest treating her for cocci to be on the safe side. (I still don't know what age she is).

You can use reptile heat pads under the bedding (as long as its kept dry) as a way to help provide warmth, or you might just choose to keep towels over/around the cage/box.

Keep in mind when their immune system is down is does sometimes make them susceptible to secondary illnesses which might require antibiotics. The rickets diet is like a probiotic for her so its well worth making and offering.

Respiratory infections can spread quickly so make sure you keep an eye on your other stock as they have all been together.

I took her out a few days ago just to be safe. I will start her on boiled eggs and vitamin sups and see how she goes. If not I will take her to my local vet as a last resort

It’s always such a worry when you think something maybe going wrong my last sick girl I sat up most of the night watching and worrying but she did pull through. I hope she recovers Jason
